Vast in its smallness
cold comfort impermanence
frosting the new garden
Burial by fire
Sections that cling and reject
As thunder plays chess
International Haiku Day tomorrow 17th April 2018! Just a reminder that ‘Journeys with “The Waste Land”‘ are waiting for your haiku poems inspired by T S Eliot’s poem “The Waste Land”. There are some already shared on the comments stream on the previous blogpost Haiku Challenge and all will appear tomorrow, along with any additional poems received.
Many thanks to those who have already contributed! Interesting that Hyacinth’s loom large! It must be the time of year chiming in with the poem:
“You gave me hyacinths first a year ago;
“They called me the hyacinth girl.” TS Eliot
